On this hike, we walk along the windy, sandy Pacific seashore to Fort Funston, climb the sand ladder to the cliff where hang gliders ride the ocean wind, meet most of the canine population of San Francisco, and walk back through a vast stretch of restored native dune plants where bank swallows nest.
